The interviews of Pitter´s children in Malach Centre for Visual History

Malach Centre for Visual History is digital archive which provides access to video testimony from several Associations. The archive has more than 60 000 records of testimony of witnesses, the biggest part of records is from USC Shoah Foundation Visual History Archive - focused mostly on period of WWII – Shoah Jewish survivors. The Malach is situated in the city centre in Prague 1 – on the Malostranská square. We could find there, till now, 22 records with witnesses, who were attended in „operation castles“, which was organized by P. Pitter and his co-workers. Narrators were find by names and their birthdates, although Pitter and his co-workers didn´t have a complete list with correct records of children, who came to the castles. These records are in many languages, the most of them are in English, Czech, but some of them are also in Spanish, Hebrew, and German. Although not all of the narrators speak about „operations castles“, testimonies are very interesting source for researchers, who are interested in former Pitter´s children and their next fates.
